Teaching your dog to understand you, clearly and reliably.
Basic Obedience is a package focused on the training, education and understanding of the dog. We make sure the dog understands voice commands, hand signal commands and leash pressure.
We aim for the owner to be able to understand and "speak" with their dog, to create a two-way communication where both understand each other and communicate in a clear and calm way.
Basic Obedience is built around 3 different stages:
We teach owners how to communicate with their dog in a way that the dog really understands and respects. Many times, owners believe that the dog knows what they are referring to, but this is not the case, and because of that, problems arise. We focus on teaching clear boundaries, creating real respect and managing impulse control, among other things.
The goal here is to teach the human the dog's language, so that they can communicate in a way that the dog truly understands.
Stage 2 is focused on the dog learning our language. This is when we teach basic commands that are used every day: come, sit, stay still, lie down and follow. With this stage, we are not only able to understand and "talk" with our dog, but your dog can also understand us and almost respond to us in our language. We focus on teaching commands in a way that always respects them, using a mix of voice commands, hand signals and leash pressure.
Complete Basic Training is the mix of Stage 1 and 2 of Basic Obedience. It is not necessary to do one and then the other; you can do both directly and save yourself a lot of time (and some cash!).
Stage 3 is a mix of the 3 previous options. It is a very complete training since it integrates Stages 1 and 2, but exposing the dog to specific environments that will help it behave not only at home, but also outside the home. We go to strategic places like Punda, the beach, shelters where there are many barking dogs, our dog center to socialize, and more.
One thing many owners notice is that their dog behaves perfectly at home, but the moment they step outside, it seems like the dog has forgotten everything. That is exactly what this stage addresses. We train in the real world so that good behavior is not just for home but for everywhere.
Ideal for owners who want to go out with their dog daily or go on excursions. It is the most complete basic training we offer and the one that gives the most satisfaction to all our clients.
You do not need to complete the previous stages first. Stage 3 can be started directly from zero, and covers everything the earlier stages include, plus the real-world component.
"A dog that cooperates is more reliable than a dog that only obeys."
Every dog and every owner is different. If you are not sure which stage or modality is the best fit for you, just contact us directly and we will help you choose the right option.
