Professional protection training, ethical, controlled, and reliable.
All defense training teaches the dog to develop its natural protective and assertive behavior. The difference between our three options is the level of obedience it is combined with.
No defense training will be offered without first completing the required obedience package with us, or without demonstrating solid control over the dog. A dog that protects must also be completely controllable. Without that, the risk to the owner and others is too high.
Each option combines an obedience foundation with a protection layer. Obedience always comes first: protection training begins only once the dog has demonstrated the required level of control. These are two separate stages, carried out one after the other, never at the same time.
The obedience foundation for this option is Stage 1: Simple Obedience, where the owner learns to communicate with their dog through clear boundaries, body language, and emotional control. The dog learns to understand the owner's authority naturally, without commands or tools.
Once this foundation is solid, we begin the protection work. The focus here is on bringing out the dog's natural protective instinct, encouraging it not to be afraid of contact and to protect when needed. No attack commands are taught, and no specific defense scenarios such as robbery or intrusion are trained. This option is designed for dogs that stay at home and are not regularly taken out in public.
This option is not available for dogs that are regularly walked in public without solid control over them.
The obedience foundation for this option is Stage 3: Deep Basic Obedience, a complete program covering all commands and behaviors across every area, situation, and daily moment, including real-world environments such as the street, the beach, and busy public spaces. The dog achieves full obedience both inside and outside the home.
Once this level is reached, we begin a complete protection process: basic attack commands, protection responses, and defense behaviors, so the dog knows how to protect appropriately. This option requires that the dog always remains on leash when in public.
The most complete option we offer. The obedience foundation is Advanced Obedience, which includes full off-leash control in any environment, using advanced tools and achieving total reliability across all situations. The dog must be able to function calmly and responsively anywhere before protection work begins.
The protection at this level covers the same depth as Option 2, but with a significantly higher degree of self-control and situational awareness. The dog learns not only to protect, but when and how, with precision, judgment, and complete control from the owner at all times.
"A protection dog must first be a controlled dog. Obedience is not optional, it is the foundation."
The obedience package and the protection sessions are two separate programs, each with its own cost. They are carried out one after the other (obedience first, protection second), never at the same time, as doing both simultaneously would compromise the quality of both.
Protection sessions are priced at ƒ 85 to 125 per session. Option 1 requires approximately 5 sessions; Options 2 and 3 approximately 10. If more sessions turn out to be necessary, this will always be confirmed and agreed upon before starting. A prior evaluation of the dog and owner is mandatory before any defense training begins.
